Yuanxi, situated in the century-old Shougang Park, reimagines the Beijing living interface with a humanistic mansion that transcends urban imagination on a site that carries the glory of the city's history.

The reception area features symbolic vestiges of industrial scenes, creating a strong sense of ceremony. The emotional value it brings overlays the old fabric, becoming a 'new' history.

'We hope to create a vessel of time, one that connects the past and points to the future. We blend Shougang's industrial memory with a longing for a better life. Reshaping the stern image of the industrial era—once a steelmaking base, it will now foster a new trend of cultural and artistic luxury, exploring the realm of industry and art within the city.'

The interior uses a large amount of metal that represents historical sedimentation, innovatively combined with luxury stones. One side industrial, the other artistic, the cozy and warm scene creates a unique 'self-concordance and ease' for the culture-composite commercial space, making it a spiritual retreat in the city.

Restoring the natural attributes of the space gives it an approachable and intimate tactility, allowing people to enjoy a lovable and purely free ease.

The relaxed feeling of strolling becomes an instant emotional resonance between the scene and the visitors.

The space is divided into functional areas of various scales, encompassing diverse formats such as culture, socializing, dining, coffee, and event exhibitions, covering multiple scenarios of crowd attraction, check-in sharing, and social interaction.

Within the simplicity of modern design and the intricate classical details, there is also an Eastern freehand elegance. From leather armchairs and exquisite fireplaces to various floral arrangements, the space is transformed into a warm and vibrant place.

Artistic oil paintings on the walls combine the past and future technological glory of Shougang with contemporary chic portraits, as if echoing this new landmark of urban revitalization.

Breaking the boundaries between architecture and landscape, private and open, life is restored to its proper natural slow pace.

Financial screens echo the microcosm of Shougang's history, re-entering today's narrative. Scattered at junctions where sightlines shift, they provide metaphors from the past for the space.

The multifunctional conservatory themed 'Monet's Garden' adds a touch of softness and romance to the space, so appropriately fitting.

A rich mix of diverse materials: lacquerware, textured wood veneers, and mother-of-pearl lacquer painting details. The classically retro carvings on the cabinetry are also inlaid with delicate brass, complemented by leather sofas and single chairs in imported fabrics. Visible artistic paintings and sculptures, along with artist hand-painted screens, reveal elegance amidst the luxury.

The hand-painted screen designed by New York artist Nancy Lorenz, with abstract and concise patterns, presents a unique Eastern ambiance.

Whether pursuing taste and elegance, or a sense of comfort, for every urban dweller, within the realm of home, the beauty of life should be fully and vividly displayed.

The space is refined without being contrived; the overall palette and details highlight its texture and style.
