A strong nostalgic style, as if time has flowed backward to the romantic allure of old Shanghai in the 1920s and 1930s.
The overall space of this model house is guided by elegance and tranquility, combined with the designer's consistent adherence to the Art Deco style, creating a naturally harmonious aesthetic. First, under practical functional considerations, the spatial elements emphasize the effect of soft furnishings, selecting materials such as wrought iron, leather, silver foil, and stainless steel to influence the visual experience, thereby achieving the purpose of expanding the space. At the same time, under the illumination of lighting, the diverse materials give the space multiple emotional expressions, presenting a richer rhythm of home life.
In terms of color matching, this project extensively uses the metallic color of mirror-finished stainless steel, perfectly expressing the fresh and refined elegance of the Art Deco style. In the color selection of some home accessories, it emphasizes simple texture and clean, neat layout, removing the complicated craftsmanship. The transparent sense of space endows a small living space with more diversified layers, ensuring visual extension and permeability in the home.
The design elements in the living room are mainly simple, yet a hint of noble and elegant aristocratic flavor can still be seen. This is mainly due to the appropriate selection of colors and furniture, which prevents the originally small living room from appearing cramped, instead revealing a pure aesthetic. The TV background wall has always been the "eyes" of the living room, and this is also an area where the designer focuses efforts. The designer deliberately uses leather material to decorate this area, using the unique warm texture of leather to set off the tranquil atmosphere of the audiovisual space. Abstract oil paintings are used to embellish the wall, adding a touch of artistic ambiance. At the same time, to further enhance the highlight, a transparent glass coffee table is placed in the living room, and this distinctive piece immediately becomes the visual focus of the entire living room.
The adjacent dining room adopts classical-style furniture, featuring a round wooden dining table paired with solid wood flooring. The antique European round mirror makes the space's furnishing conform to the classical style. The brown dining room contrasts with the white living room in tone, with a large number of European furniture and lamps creating a rustic and elegant continental European charm. A window on one side of the dining room's wall ensures indoor light, allowing the family to dine here while enjoying close contact with nature outside the window.
In the master bedroom, the designer adopts a relatively modern decoration approach, laying pure white carpet, making the rest space feel extra warm and cozy. The sleeping space is mainly in plain colors, and the simplified decoration allows the modern style to naturally emerge. The bedroom features a viewing space; by opening the floor-to-ceiling window doors and standing here, the owner can breathe the sweet air and immerse themselves in this new pastoral life. The stainless steel dressing table placed against the wall in the master bedroom is quite distinctive, with its cool tone making the space shine. Fine patterns and metal decorations look modern and gorgeous. Overall, while focusing on artistic effect, the design also reflects a simple style, striving to expand the space effect and giving people a sense of elegance and generosity, making the Art Deco design style radiate new charm.
