When a space reduces strong color contrasts, human perception instead becomes more nuanced. A sculpture, an artwork, or a floral arrangement can all emerge naturally within the embrace of white.
As clamorous forms fade away, artist Peng Bo’s 《Feather Dust》 stands quietly within, blending the nuanced stillness of hidden emptiness. It spreads with one’s inner thoughts, leaving a lingering resonance for this journey of returning to the heart.
The design preserves room through restraint. Several slightly curved walls unfold in a staggered manner along the axis; through turns, borrowed views, and circulation, art, nature, and human figures overlap one another in the flowing space, together completing an ever-changing exhibition.
As footsteps lead deeper, sightlines are continually concealed, released, and refocused. Courtyard greenery, art installations, glass display cases on both sides, and wall niches appear one after another amid layered framed views.
At the center of the cross axis, artist Tang Jie’s 《Ring of Water》 stands quietly. Layered white planes embrace to form a force, like swirling water and returning tides; the ring without beginning or end also symbolizes inclusiveness, circulation, and the continuity of life.
The walls on both sides unfold in symmetrical relationship; the collision of textures—“light outside, deep inside”—is slowly amplified in the narrative of light and shadow.
Function recedes behind aesthetics, yet quietly fulfills every experience through material texture, modulated scale, and atmosphere. Replacing clamor with serenity and accumulation with blank space—this is precisely the future international lifestyle envisioned by 「Rui Mansion」.
Stepping into the water bar area, the spatial narrative vocabulary quietly shifts from gentle “detours” to “linear guidance.”
Breaking the singular attribute of circulation or function, it uses time and color as emotion to construct a contemporary social node that combines luxurious grandeur with a relaxed sensibility.
Exploring color within the same palette, even subtle tonal changes can create completely different backgrounds—this in itself is a pleasure.
Good design is not about creating a perfect space, but about finding new possibilities within constraints.
Creating scenery inward, structural columns and pipe shafts are transformed into views. Through concise linear divisions, selective openings, and staggered scales, visual connections between spaces are established, allowing the space to remain transparent and expansive amid the shift between solid and void.
Centered on receiving guests, reading, and art collecting, it creates a composite VIP room between a private living room and a collector’s study.
Living with art returns the space to a more essential state. Artistic wood veneer, paired with a black-and-white color relationship, presents a modern luxury with Eastern philosophical thought.
🔻Living Room
Visual order is established through central-axis symmetry; concise linear divisions and proportion control create a clear and richly layered spatial structure.
Furniture is arranged in an enclosing formation; comfortable scale, artistic furnishings, and functional layout merge with one another, accommodating audiovisual entertaining and light social needs.
Artist Wang Kai’s 《Existence》 becomes the spiritual focal point of the space; its layered, diffused tones echo the armchair, presenting an artistic conception where nature and humanity coexist.
Rounded cabinets soften hard lines, while a suspended mirror cabinet and integrated basin form a light visual focal point, creating a clean, serene, and ceremonial experience.
