Let dwelling become a form of human life.
In residential design, we have never given up the pursuit of poetry.
The North Courtyard of Phase 6, Grasse Town, Beijing, is a modern residence located by the Wenyu River in the outskirts of Beijing. It is naturally endowed with the distinctive leisurely temperament of the four seasons unique to the suburbs.
△Landscape is the beginning of poetry. In spring, crabapple and cherry blossoms dance in the air, and new green willow branches sway in the breeze;
In summer, the river flows quietly, reflecting the azure sky, while tall green poplars shade the anglers on the cool paths;
In autumn, the forests are dyed in layers of color, the sky is high and the clouds are pale, and migratory birds heading south skim over the golden ginkgo trees;
In winter, everything is wrapped in silver, with black branches and white ice and snow; magpies chatter over the frozen, lonely river.
△Floor plan sketch. In our view, the process of dwelling creates landscape. Dwelling is an abstract experience, and landscape is the external manifestation of that experience. It is landscape that connects people with a place. When people develop emotions toward a place, landscape becomes the beginning of poetry. Thus, we adopt the approach of integrating landscape into architecture. Architecture is a product of standardization, and so is standardized dwelling. Our poetry comes from the excavation and re-creation of landscape, as well as from the art of uncertainty arising from this process.

Summer of Life
🔻Living Room
Su Dongpo wrote in "A Night Excursion at Chengtian Temple": "The courtyard below was as clear as a pool of water, with algae and waterweeds crossing among it—these were the shadows of bamboo and cypress. Which night has no moonlight? Where is there no bamboo or cypress? But there are few idlers like the two of us."
How long has it been since we last carefully gazed at a pool of clear water? Facing such gentle greenness, what kind of water can we imagine? At this moment, the ripples, algae, and the swaying shadows of bamboo and cypress have already become imagery of the landscape. When all our five senses are fully awakened, even gazing at a piece of jade can let us wander under the moonlight.
Autumn of Harvest
As scenes change with each step and the seasons cycle, the season now shifts from the vibrant green of summer to the rich, deep autumn. Gold and imperial red symbolize the abundance and joy of life, leading us to recall or anticipate those passionate times of harvest.
