Yuanling, situated in the northwest of Hunan, at the northern end of Huaihua, on the middle reaches of the Yuan River, lies at the junction of the southern foothills of Wuling Mountain and the northeastern tail of Xuefeng Mountain. Upon stepping into Yuanling, the world feels entirely renewed—one wonders why the spring light of eternal regret is nowhere to be found, not knowing it has turned into this very place.
